Education Days
Education Days in Bannau Brycheiniog turn the National Park into a living classroom. Learners can explore the outdoors while developing knowledge, skills and confidence through hands-on experiences that support the Curriculum for Wales.
Supporting the Curriculum for Wales
Every Education Day is designed to enhance the core purposes of the Curriculum for Wales. Sessions explore the areas of learning and experience while weaving in opportunities to strengthen cross-curricular skills. The Literacy and Numeracy Framework (LNF) and the Digital Competency Framework (DCF) are embedded into activities, so learners develop essential skills in practical, engaging ways.
Flexible and tailored learning
We welcome groups from primary, secondary and higher education, with courses that can be tailored to meet specific needs. Whether your focus is science, geography, history or well-being, our team will shape sessions that connect directly with your learning goals. All courses are available in Welsh or English, ensuring every learner can take part fully.
Experiences that go beyond the classroom
Education Days are more than just outdoor lessons. They give learners the chance to build teamwork, resilience and problem-solving skills, while also improving literacy, numeracy and digital understanding through real-world challenges. Most importantly, time spent in the Park supports well-being, helping pupils reconnect with the natural world in a safe, inspiring environment.
