Brecon Beacons Local Nature Partnership
The Local Nature Partnership brings people and organisations together to deliver nature recovery across the National Park
Bringing people together for nature
The Brecon Beacons Local Nature Partnership (LNP) brings together organisations, communities and individuals who share a commitment to protecting and restoring the natural environment of the National Park. It is part of a Wales-wide network of partnerships, each working locally to deliver national priorities for biodiversity and nature recovery.
A shared vision
The Partnership’s vision is to see nature thriving across the Park, with healthy ecosystems that support wildlife, communities and the economy. By pooling expertise, knowledge and resources, the LNP helps identify priorities for action and coordinates projects that deliver real benefits for people and wildlife alike.
How the Partnership works
The LNP is made up of a wide range of members, including public bodies, conservation organisations, farmers, businesses and local groups. Together they plan and deliver projects on habitats such as woodlands, grasslands and rivers, while also raising awareness and encouraging people to get involved. The Partnership provides a forum where challenges can be discussed openly, and solutions shaped collectively.
Supporting national goals
As part of the Nature Recovery Action Plan for Wales, the Brecon Beacons LNP ensures that local action contributes to national and global targets for biodiversity. From species monitoring to habitat restoration, its projects help tackle the twin challenges of climate change and ecological decline while creating opportunities for communities to engage with the natural world.
