Our People
Our dedicated staff, wardens, volunteers & partners protect the landscape, support communities & ensure visitor safety.
Our Staff & Wardens
Our staff cover a wide range of roles, from conservation specialists and planners to education officers, visitor centre teams and administrative support. Out on the ground, our wardens are often the most visible presence, maintaining paths, supporting visitors and working with landowners to care for habitats. Together they bring skills and experience that keep the Authority’s work moving forward.
Volunteers
Volunteers play a vital role in the life of the Park. They give their time to support conservation projects, visitor services, education activities and events. Some join us regularly while others help on specific projects. Whatever the role, their contribution makes a real difference, and we are always keen to welcome new people into our volunteer community.
Training & Opportunities
As well as permanent staff and volunteers, the Authority supports training and development opportunities. We offer work experience placements, youth engagement schemes such as the Youth Wardens, and seasonal roles that give people a chance to develop their skills while contributing to the Park.
Businesses & Partners
Local businesses and partner organisations are key to the success of the National Park. Tourism providers, farmers, charities and community groups all play an important role in promoting sustainability and supporting the local economy. We work with a wide range of partners, from environmental groups and educational bodies to cultural organisations and government agencies, ensuring that the Park’s management is joined-up and collaborative.
